Review: DeVita Revitalizing Eye Lift Creme

DeVita Revitalizing Eye Lift Creme 30ml USD 18.86
( With Coupon Code, price is USD 16.36/ MYR 52.75 )

I was looking for a good but wallet friendly eye cream in iHerb and I was happy that DeVita is available through them. I came across this brand last year and they are quite famed for their Moisturizing Sunscreen. Seeing that DeVita is a all-natural, 100% Paraben Free, PETA Certified and Vegan cosmeceutical skin care line, it didn't make me worry much when I placed an order at iHerb for this eye cream.

It was also my first time shopping at iHerb and boy, I am rather happy to find this site. Their prices offered are much less than other websites and better yet,  I've got additional discount too when using the coupon code. For first time buyers like me, the extra discount of $5.00 off did helped to save some $$$ in the shipping costs.

Now, let's look at their product description shall we...

My Experience

The unscented eye cream is a semi thick consistency, almost alike the one from Garden of Wisdom. The product comes in a frosted glass bottle with a pump and I must say kudos to the packaging because its a plus point in terms of hygiene. If you want me to compare, this one is so much better than the Garden of Wisdom Eye Majik, which comes in a little tub with no spatula given.

A very small amount, less than a pea size, is suffice for both your eyes. My application method is usually warming up the cream a little with your fingers and gently tap it to your eyes area. This eye cream absorbs pretty well and doesn't leave my eyes feeling 'heavy'. Though DeVita recommends to apply both day and night, I only apply this at night because it contains Retinol  ( Vitamin A ).

This is a pretty decent eye cream and it hydrates my eye area pretty well. I don't feel any tightness when I wake up in the morning and that is great news to me. I can't really say if it reduces puffiness around my eyes because I seldom have any to start with. In terms of dark circles, I do see a slight reduction. ( I am unsure if this is solely because of using this cream alone because I am still using my GoW Eye Majik in the day ).

Pictures speaks louder than words and below are some pictures to see the comparisons.

Taken 30 June 2011

 Taken 8 Dec 2011

Taken 1 Feb 2012

Since the start of 30 June, I have been consistent in using eye creams and eye serums for my eyes. I greatly feel that that our eye area deserves to be loved and cared for, as much as we do to our face. Until December, you can already see the improvement in terms of hydration and tone

I started  using DeVita early in December and if you look closely( comparing with the Dec and Feb pictures ), you can already see a slight reduction on the dark circles and the fine lines especially at the left eye area. Both my eye areas are pretty firmed up too, that's for sure! I am glad that I have the habit of taking pictures to analyse the difference because if you look in the mirror everyday and examine your face, you can't actually see any difference unless you look closely via pictures taken.

Overall

I think this is a good product, seeing that it had helped me to reduce some lines as well as the dark circles. It is good in the hydration department and so far, I have not encountered any milia seeds. The best part is...this is value for money! This product is priced at UDS 18.86 ( after discounts ) for 30ml, versus Garden of Wisdoms Eye Majik, priced at USD 18.85 for 10g.

I started using this in the beginning of December and to date, my bottle is still 3/4 full! It can definitely take you a long way. I have used this on my hubby too and so far, he likes it as well!

If I must gripe about this product, the only thing that I am displeased about is that there's no expiry  indication, which makes it hard to know the freshness of the product.

Like I said earlier, I like shopping at iHerb mainly because the price is right and much lower than other sites. To those who are first time customers to that site, you may use this coupon code VAP406 to enjoy the USD$5.00 discount on the 1st order. Happy shopping!

  1. Hi, that's a very detailed review! Is there any preservative in this product? I don't see any in the ingredients list

    1. The Vitamin E serves as a natural preservative.
